The Member representing Epe Constituency One (I) in the Lagos State House of Assembly has led a high-powered delegation of the Epe Premier Club to the office of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, to brief him on preparations for the club’s inaugural immortalisation ceremony.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the delegation informed the Speaker that the initiative is designed to recognise and celebrate founding fathers and iconic contributors to the socio-political, cultural, and economic development of Epe Division, while also preserving and institutionalising the legacies of leaders who have played selfless roles in community building.
The Speaker warmly received the delegation, offered words of guidance, and expressed his full endorsement of the initiative, including his commitment to grace the historic occasion.
The visit also featured special commendation for the first honouree, Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu, Apase of Epe Land, described as a symbol of political maturity, statesmanship, and dedicated service to Epe Division and Lagos State.
“We briefed the Speaker on our preparations for the club’s inaugural immortalisation ceremony, which is aimed at recognising and celebrating our founding fathers and iconic contributors to the growth of Epe Division,” the lawmaker said.
“We are grateful for the warm reception, wise counsel, and full endorsement from the Speaker, whose support and commitment to attend will add great prestige to the event,” he added.
“The choice of Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu as our first honouree is fitting and well-deserved, considering his selfless service and enduring impact on Epe land,” he stated.
