The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, has been officially appointed as the Epe Local Government Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

Eko Hot Blog reports that her appointment was formally announced during the inauguration ceremony held in Ikeja, Lagos, and organized under the leadership of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. At the event, twenty coordinators were unveiled to coordinate the initiative across various local governments in the state.
Notably, Hon. Animashaun emerged as the only female among the inaugurated coordinators, a development widely viewed as a recognition of her strong grassroots influence, administrative competence, and growing political relevance within the progressive fold in Lagos State.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative is designed to deepen grassroots mobilization and strengthen engagement in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, particularly as political structures gradually begin to align ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Speaking shortly after her inauguration, Hon. Animashaun expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her leadership.
“I am deeply honored by this appointment and grateful for the trust placed in me,” she said.
She further reaffirmed her dedication to ensuring inclusive participation and effective coordination across Epe Local Government.
“We will strengthen our grassroots engagement, carry everyone along, and ensure that the Renewed Hope Agenda resonates meaningfully with the people of Epe,” she added.
Political observers describe her appointment as a strategic move that reinforces Epe’s importance in the political configuration of Lagos State while also highlighting the increasing role of women in leadership and mobilization structures.
