The meeting, the first official gathering of the board, will be held at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace, recently renamed by the U.S. State Department in his honor. Delegations from more than 20 countries, including heads of state, are expected to attend.
The Board of Peace was established following a U.N. Security Council resolution as part of the Trump administration’s plan to end hostilities between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

Israel and Hamas agreed to the framework last year, with a ceasefire officially taking effect in October, though both sides have accused each other of violations.
Gaza’s Health Ministry reports that over 590 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the ceasefire, while Israel says four of its soldiers were killed by Palestinian militants during the same period.
Regional actors such as Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Israel, along with countries like Indonesia, have joined the board.
However, major global powers and traditional Western allies of the U.S. have approached the initiative with more caution.
