Popular Nigerian photographer and biker Orowole Kolapoz, popularly known as Kola Onifoto, has died following a lone motorcycle accident in Lagos.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the 32-year-old was reportedly involved in the crash on Sunday while embarking on what he described as his first solo motorcycle trip outside Lagos.

Shortly before the journey, he had shared his excitement online about riding to Akure and praised experienced bikers who have travelled across Nigeria and beyond.

Sources close to him said he was first taken to an emergency response unit operated by the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ojota. He was later moved to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for further medical attention.
Despite efforts by medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Monday, March 2.
News of his death has sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, with friends, colleagues and followers describing him as vibrant, adventurous and passionate about photography and travel. Only weeks ago, he had celebrated fulfilling a long-held dream of becoming a biker, sharing photos of himself with his motorcycle.

The exact cause and circumstances of the crash have not yet been officially clarified. Efforts to get a response from the Lagos Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps were unsuccessful as of the time this report was filed.
