EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to the statement, the nominees to be sworn in are Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr Peters Nwagor, Mr Lekue Kenneth and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
Wokoma said the swearing in ceremony will take place at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, at 1:00 p.m.
The statement added that the commissioner designates and one guest each are expected to be seated at the venue by 12:30 p.m. The swearing in follows the screening exercise conducted by the Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday.
During the exercise, the Assembly rejected four of the nine commissioner nominees earlier submitted by the governor for confirmation. After a screening session that lasted more than two hours, lawmakers confirmed five nominees as commissioner designates.
Those rejected by the House include Prof Datonye Alasia, Tamuno Williams, Otonye T.K.D. Amachree and Charity Deemua. Speaker of the House, Martin Amaewhule, explained that the nominees were rejected due to poor performance during the screening process and controversies surrounding their nominations.
“At the end of the screening exercise, the House has confirmed five of them.
“And four of them, the House has chosen to take a deep breath, given their poor performance and controversies surrounding their documents,” he said.

Amaewhule added that the rejected nominees failed to convince lawmakers that they possessed the capacity to serve in the Rivers State Executive Council.
