However, it was Dominik Szoboszlai who opened the scoring for Liverpool with a free-kick that goalkeeper Vicario failed to hold, allowing the ball to slip into the net.

Tottenham responded with Richarlison coming close to scoring with headers, but Alisson remained alert. Despite Spurs showing occasional defensive vulnerability, the visitors kept pressing.
The breakthrough came in the 90th minute when a long kick from Vicario found substitute Randal Kolo Muani, who squared the ball for Richarlison to slot home and secure a vital point for Tottenham.
Speaking after the game, Tudor praised his players’ effort, highlighting the challenges of working with an incomplete squad. “It’s never easy. Sometimes people outside don’t realize how difficult the job is. At the end, results matter most. But today, the players gave everything,” he said.

Tudor also singled out young talents Archie Gray and Pape Matar Sarr for their energy and contribution in midfield. He admitted that squad limitations forced him to adjust his lineup and tactics at the last minute, making the draw at Anfield even more significant.
On the impact of Richarlison’s late goal, Tudor said, “We hope this is a boost for the team. There is still a long way to go this season, but today the players showed commitment and belief. That honesty and effort will eventually pay off.”

Reflecting on earning his first Premier League point as Spurs’ manager, Tudor described the feeling as “fresh air for the team,” praising the resilience and spirit of his players under challenging circumstances.
“Coming here with limited options, the team stayed in the game and believed. It’s a positive moment for confidence and team morale,” he added.
Tudor also explained how last-minute changes in the lineup disrupted training preparations, but he credited the team’s adaptability and unity for achieving a hard-earned point at one of the league’s toughest venues.
