The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction led by Taminu Turaki, Ini Ememobong, has rejected any suggestion that the party should support President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking on The Morning Show on Arise Television, Eko Hot Blog gathered that Ememobong described such a move as inappropriate and inconsistent with the role of a credible opposition party.

Ememobong expressed confidence that the ongoing reconciliation efforts within the PDP would be driven by sound judgment rather than emotions, noting that the Turaki-led faction is committed to strengthening the party’s position as a viable opposition.
He also warned that the reconciliation process should not dilute the PDP’s identity or reduce it to a subordinate role within the ruling party’s political framework.
