An early morning explosion involving a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicle has damaged two buses and several cars at a motor park in Kaduna State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday at Mando Garage Motor Park, according to an eyewitness, Sanruk Musa, who shared details on his X account.

Musa said a CNG-powered bus belonging to Silver Travel & Luxury Bus exploded, causing significant damage to a second bus parked nearby and other vehicles within the vicinity.
“At about 4:00 AM on Sunday, a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bus belonging to Silver Travel & Luxury Bus was involved in a major explosion at Mando Garage Motor Park, Kaduna,” he wrote.
The impact of the blast reportedly extended beyond the initial vehicle, with eyewitnesses describing a loud explosion followed by flames and thick smoke, which triggered panic in the area.

Preliminary findings suggest the explosion originated from one of the buses, though the exact cause has yet to be determined. Possible factors being considered include gas leakage, cylinder failure, or improper handling of the CNG system.
Despite the scale of the damage, no casualties were recorded.
Authorities are expected to investigate the incident further to determine the cause and prevent future occurrences.
