Brigade Commander of the Joint Task Force in Benesheikh, located in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State, Brig.-Gen. O. Braimah, has reportedly been killed following an હુમ attack by Boko Haram fighters.
According to sources, Eko Hot Blog gathered that the insurgents launched a large-scale ರಾತ್ರಿ assault on the military base, leading to intense fighting.

A local resident, Mallam Lawa Benesheikh, shared details of the incident on social media, describing how the militants stormed the facility in large numbers and expressing grief over the loss of the commanding officer and other personnel.
The Chairman of Kaga Local Government Area, Zanna Ajimi, confirmed the development.

He stated that he had visited the base shortly after the attack and verified that Brig.-Gen. Braimah was among those who lost their lives.
While security forces reportedly repelled the нападение and inflicted casualties on the insurgents, officials have yet to release a full account of the incident or the total number of those affected.
