The forum is designed to enhance coordination and cooperation between the Executive and Legislative arms, while fostering sustainable partnerships among policymakers and other stakeholders.
With the theme, “Equal Participation in Governance: Highlighting the Importance of Collaboration in Achieving the THEMES Plus Agenda,” the event will focus on strengthening synergy in governance and promoting inclusive participation in policy implementation.

Speaking on the initiative, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen, described the parley as a vital platform for advancing effective governance, improving policy alignment, and ensuring shared responsibility in delivering government objectives.
He noted that the programme would bring together key stakeholders from both arms of government, alongside other public officials, to deliberate on improving service delivery, deepening democratic engagement, and enhancing institutional collaboration.
The forthcoming edition is expected to build on outcomes from the 18th parley held in March 2024, which focused on inclusive governance and addressed issues such as economic challenges, advocacy for a special federal status for Lagos, and constitutional recognition of the 37 Local Council Development Areas.
Officials say the 2026 parley will further consolidate these efforts by strengthening policy coordination and driving improved governance outcomes for residents of Lagos.
