EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Ibadan meeting, held on Saturday, brought together key opposition figures as part of efforts to build a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Among those in attendance were former Senate President, David Mark; former Minister of Information, Jerry Gana; activist Aisha Yesufu; political economist Pat Utomi; and former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung.
Also present were former governors including Rauf Aregbesola, Aminu Tambuwal, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Abdulfatah Ahmed, Rotimi Amaechi, and Babangida Aliyu, among others.
Basiru shared the image via his 𝕏 account, drawing attention to Atiku’s posture during the session.
“And the opposition leader slept at the all-important opposition summit,” he wrote.
The APC chieftain also used the image to respond to claims circulating on social media that the ruling party had become unsettled by the opposition’s moves to unite behind a single presidential candidate.

The Ibadan summit is part of ongoing consultations among opposition leaders seeking to form a broader alliance capable of challenging the ruling party in the 2027 elections.
