Desmond Olushola Elliott has formally declared his intention to seek re-election to the Lagos State House of Assembly, aiming to continue representing Surulere Constituency I.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a message addressed to residents, political stakeholders, and supporters across Surulere, the lawmaker said his decision is driven by a desire to build on existing achievements and further advance the interests of the constituency.

He expressed appreciation for the consistent support he has received over the years, describing it as the foundation of his continued service.
“By the grace of God, my return to the House will confer ranking status on our constituency. In a system where experience is recognized, this position will attract greater attention and benefits for our people,” he said.

Elliott also extended gratitude to party leaders, ward executives, community figures, youth groups, and women’s associations for their loyalty and encouragement.
He urged his supporters to remain peaceful and united as the political process unfolds.
“Let us continue to uphold peace, unity, and respect as we move forward on this journey together. Our strength has always been in our togetherness, and I am confident that the same spirit will see us through,” he added.
