EKO HOT BLOG reports that nomination form was picked on his behalf on Friday at the ADC national secretariat in Abuja by a delegation led by former Edo State Governor, John Odigie-Oyegun, alongside other political stakeholders.
The forms were formally presented to Amaechi’s representatives by the ADC Deputy National Organising Secretary, Atiku Mohammed.
With this development, Amaechi becomes the second declared aspirant in the ADC presidential race, following Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, who earlier obtained both the expression of interest and nomination forms of the party.
The ADC has, however, been facing internal leadership tensions and multiple court cases, raising concerns over its stability ahead of the next general election cycle.
The crisis has also triggered the exit of some high-profile politicians from the party, including former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, and former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who both moved to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Reacting to the defections, ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the exits as a pre-planned move rather than a consequence of internal crisis within the party.
Despite the ongoing legal disputes and leadership tensions, the ADC National Chairman, David Mark, has assured members that the party remains fully prepared to participate in the 2027 general elections.
