A Sharia Court sitting at Kofar Kudu in Kano has sentenced a woman, Hassana Abdul, to five months of community service after she admitted to trespassing into another woman’s home and attacking her.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the court, presided over by Judge Shamsudden Ado Abdullahi, heard that the incident happened following a disagreement involving the complainant and one of the defendant’s friends.

According to the court proceedings, the defendant allegedly entered the complainant’s residence without permission and physically assaulted her during the confrontation.

The matter was later reported to the police, leading to her arrest and prosecution.
When the charges were read in court, Hassana Abdul pleaded guilty to the offences.
Following her admission, the court ordered her to carry out community service by cleaning an Islamiyya school within her neighbourhood for a period of five months.
The court also gave her the option of paying a N20,000 fine or serving a five-month prison sentence.
