The event witnessed a massive turnout as supporters from different wards across Epe Federal Constituency stormed the community in solidarity with the lawmaker, describing him as a worthy representative and a proud son of the soil.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Rep. Raji stressed that politics should not create hatred or division among members of the same political party.
According to him, political contests should be based on ideas, development, and service to the people rather than insults, bitterness, and campaigns of defamation.
“In politics, because you are contesting against someone does not mean you should say bad things about them,” he stated.
The lawmaker explained that regardless of differing ambitions and interests, members of the party must continue to recognise the bond that unites them.
“We should continue to see ourselves as one big family because it is the same party that brought us together. Politics should never make us enemies,” he added.
Rep. Raji further revealed that despite several criticisms and attacks directed at him by some individuals, he had chosen the path of peace and forgiveness for the sake of unity and progress.
“To so many people who have spoken against me, I have forgiven them already,” he said.
His message of peace and reconciliation was greeted with applause from party faithful and community leaders, many of whom described the speech as timely and necessary for maintaining harmony within the political structure of the constituency.
The endorsement gathering also featured cultural performances, drumming, chants, and traditional displays as residents openly declared support for the federal lawmaker’s next term ambition.
One of the major highlights of the event was the appearance of a special traditional masquerade, which community leaders said only appears during important occasions and in honour of highly respected personalities within the community.
During his address, Rep. Raji highlighted several projects facilitated under his representation, including road construction and rehabilitation projects, health centre interventions, solar-powered installations, educational support programmes, market development, and youth empowerment initiatives across Epe Federal Constituency.
He assured residents that more developmental projects were already in the pipeline, promising to continue working towards improving the welfare and living conditions of the people if given another opportunity to serve.
Community stakeholders at the gathering praised the lawmaker for promoting peaceful politics and encouraging unity among party members, noting that such messages were important for strengthening cooperation and stability within the party.
The event ended with prayers, endorsements, and renewed calls for peaceful political engagement among supporters ahead of future political activities.
