Confirming the incident on Thursday, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluwaseun Abolurin, said the arrests were made possible through credible intelligence provided by members of the Amuwo community.
He explained that the operation forms part of the command’s ongoing efforts to protect critical infrastructure and tackle vandalism across Lagos State.

Abolurin commended residents for their vigilance and cooperation with security agencies, noting that timely information sharing played a major role in the success of the operation.
According to him, the growing collaboration between residents and security operatives has been strengthened through a series of community engagement programmes organised by the command alongside other stakeholders in the first and second quarters of 2026.
The command added that investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
