A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Laja Adeoye, has expressed confidence that the party will win the 2027 election, promising what he described as a major political upset, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Speaking in Lagos on Sunday, Adeoye said the PDP is already repositioning to challenge the long-standing dominance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

According to him, the 2027 election will mark a turning point, as many residents are increasingly dissatisfied with issues such as rising cost of living, traffic congestion, and multiple taxation.
“Lagos 2027 will not be business as usual. We are ready to return power to the people,” he said.
Adeoye explained that his ambition is driven by the desire to build a government that listens to the needs of the people and delivers practical solutions.
He added that the PDP has begun grassroots mobilisation across all local governments and local council development areas, while also working to resolve internal party challenges ahead of the election.

The aspirant also unveiled a development blueprint tagged “Àtuntọ Èkó” (Re-Engineering Lagos), which focuses on key sectors including infrastructure, housing, healthcare, education, economy, and security.
He said the plan includes improving power supply through independent projects, expanding affordable housing, boosting small businesses, and strengthening public services.
Adeoye urged Lagos residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing 2027 as a crucial moment for change.
