Governors across several states have extended Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslim faithful, using the occasion to advocate peace, unity, tolerance and national development.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, called on citizens to embrace generosity, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect regardless of religious or ethnic affiliation.

In his Eid message issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor said the festival symbolises obedience, sacrifice and commitment to the common good.
Soludo urged Muslims to use the spiritual significance of the celebration to pray for lasting peace, unity and progress across the country.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining security and creating a peaceful environment for all residents in Anambra State.
Similarly, Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, encouraged Muslims to promote understanding, tolerance and harmony among different religious and ethnic groups.
The governor said the values of Prophet Ibrahim should inspire citizens to strengthen peaceful coexistence and unity.
Idris reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustaining security through collaboration with security agencies and local vigilante groups.

He highlighted ongoing government projects in infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare and youth empowerment, noting that efforts were being intensified to improve living standards across the state.
According to him, the administration has expanded agricultural support through fertiliser distribution, improved farming inputs, irrigation projects and market access initiatives.
He also pointed to investments in schools, health facilities and employment programmes targeted at women and youths.
The governor urged residents to celebrate responsibly, support vulnerable groups and continue praying for the prosperity of Kebbi State and Nigeria.
In Ebonyi State, Governor Francis Nwifuru called on Muslims to pray for peace, unity, love and social cohesion across the country.
He said the challenges facing Nigeria require both practical and spiritual responses, adding that Eid-el-Kabir offers an opportunity for prayers and reflection.

Nwifuru described peace, unity and love as essential ingredients for national development and urged Muslims to pray for a united and peaceful Nigeria.
He also pledged continued collaboration with religious bodies to deepen interfaith dialogue and strengthen governance.
Meanwhile, Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, described Eid-el-Adha as a period that highlights obedience to God and selfless sacrifice.
He urged Muslims to pray for peace, security and stability in Katsina State and across the country.
Drawing lessons from Prophet Ibrahim’s example, Radda said the values of sacrifice and dedication remain important for both leaders and citizens.

The governor also prayed for Nigerian pilgrims performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia and encouraged Muslims to support the less privileged while promoting compassion, tolerance and communal harmony.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, security and development for all residents irrespective of religious or ethnic background.
