The event featured several entertaining and educational activities, including dancing competitions, games, cultural performances, talent displays, music, and other recreational activities designed to inspire and encourage young people.
Speaking during the celebration, Oba Arowolo said the annual Children’s Day initiative has been sustained consistently for the past 13 years as part of the kingdom’s contribution towards raising responsible children and future leaders.

According to the monarch, the programme was created not only to celebrate children but also to provide a platform for identifying hidden talents and abilities among young people across the communities.
He explained that over the years, the initiative has helped many children discover their strengths in different areas, including entertainment, creativity, leadership, sports, and cultural activities.
The royal father stressed that parents and guardians must look beyond classroom education and pay closer attention to the unique gifts and talents possessed by their children.
Oba Arowolo noted that while formal education remains important, many children are naturally gifted in other areas that can also lead to success and greatness if properly nurtured.
He urged parents to encourage their children’s dreams and support their growth both academically and creatively.
According to him, every child has a purpose and potential that should never be ignored or suppressed.

The monarch also advised children to remain disciplined, respectful, hardworking, and focused on building a better future for themselves and their communities.
He encouraged them to avoid negative influences and make good use of every opportunity available to them.
Also speaking at the event, the Olori Agba of Araromi Kingdom, Olori Oritoke, praised the monarch for his continuous dedication to children and community development.
She described children as precious treasures whose future depends greatly on the quality of care, guidance, and moral upbringing they receive from parents and society.
Olori Oritoke urged mothers and fathers to continue nurturing their children with love, discipline, prayers, and positive values capable of shaping them into responsible adults.
The Otunba Babalaje of Araromi Kingdom also commended the monarch for sustaining the Children’s Day initiative for over a decade, describing the programme as one of the kingdom’s most impactful social development efforts.
He noted that programmes centred on children help strengthen confidence, creativity, unity, and a sense of belonging among young people.
Similarly, the Akinrogun of Araromi Kingdom lauded the royal father for prioritising the welfare and development of children within the communities.
He encouraged the children to remain committed to their education, personal growth, and talents while staying away from activities that could negatively affect their future.

Throughout the celebration, children participated actively in the different activities and performances, creating moments of joy and excitement for families and guests present at the venue.
Many of the children also received gifts and recognition during the programme, adding to the memorable experience of the day.
Parents, community members, and invited guests expressed appreciation to Oba Arowolo and the organisers for maintaining the annual initiative and continuously creating opportunities that inspire, encourage, and uplift children across Araromi and Ibeju communities.
