Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a 37-year-old man suspected of providing information to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during a patrol operation in Borno State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a post shared on X, stating that the suspect, identified as Umar Isah, was apprehended by troops of the 154 Task Force Battalion on June 20.

According to the report, Isah, a resident of Dawu village, was arrested during a routine morning patrol aimed at securing defensive positions and preventing insurgent activities within the battalion’s area of responsibility.

No incriminating items were recovered from the suspect at the time of his arrest, the report added.
Military sources indicated that the suspect would be transferred to the Military Intelligence Brigade (MIB) of Sector 2 for further investigation and appropriate action.
The arrest is said to be part of ongoing intelligence-led operations by Operation Hadin Kai to dismantle insurgent networks, identify suspected collaborators and cut off access to information and logistical support available to terrorist groups in communities across the North-East.
