The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, has hailed the successful conclusion of the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, describing it as a major step towards improving child nutrition, enhancing learning, and promoting the overall wellbeing of pupils in public primary schools across the council area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the three-day programme came to a successful close on Friday at Zumuratu Islamiyah (Z.I.) Primary School I, Epe, where pupils gathered for the grand finale amid excitement and celebration.
The event was filled with joy as the pupils received nutritious snacks, expressing their appreciation through cheerful songs, laughter, and smiles. The atmosphere reflected the programme’s positive impact in encouraging school attendance, supporting healthy growth, and creating a more conducive learning environment for children.
The successful implementation of the initiative further demonstrated the shared commitment of the Federal Government, Lagos State Government, and Epe Local Government to strengthening basic education and improving the nutritional wellbeing of school children through sustainable social investment programmes.
Speaking at the event, education stakeholders and school administrators commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for introducing the Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises the welfare and educational development of Nigerian children through the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme.
They also applauded the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for ensuring the successful implementation of the initiative across the state.
