A 30-year-old man, Musbawu Amodu, has been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command for allegedly beating his wife, 20-year-old Mrs. Amodu, to death following a domestic dispute in Agyaragu, Obi Local Government Area of the state.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the tragic incident was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel.

According to the police, the suspect was taken into custody after a report alleged that he had violently assaulted his wife, who later died from the injuries she sustained.
During interrogation, Amodu allegedly confessed that an argument broke out after his wife reportedly refused to prepare a meal, leading to a physical assault that turned fatal.
“The suspect confessed to committing the act out of anger after the deceased allegedly refused to prepare food. An argument ensued, which escalated into a physical altercation that ultimately resulted in her death,” Nansel said.

Police said the couple had been married for six years and had two children, a boy and a girl.
The Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, CP Shettima Jauro Mohammed, has ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Lafia for a comprehensive investigation.
He assured residents that justice would be pursued and that the suspect would be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
