Pandemonium broke out at a marriage ceremony in Kano after a 34-year-old man, identified as Rabiu Mukthar, allegedly opened fire on guests, killing one person and injuring three others.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the incident occurred at Tudun Yola Quarters in Kano State.

The spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, Chief Superintendent Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident.
According to Kiyawa, Mukthar allegedly came out of his house while music was being played at the marriage ceremony and used a pump-action gun to shoot sporadically at people attending the event.
The police spokesperson said officers responded immediately after receiving information about the shooting and arrested Mukthar and another suspect.

The pump-action gun allegedly used in the attack was also recovered.
Kiyawa said preliminary investigation indicated that Mukthar was unhappy with the organisers of the musical event for allegedly failing to consult him before holding it.
The suspect reportedly told investigators that the loud music disturbed his sleep and prompted him to open fire.
Mukthar and the other suspect arrested in connection with the incident are currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Kano State Police Command as investigations continue.
