Ansar-ud-deen Epe urges unity, moral values at 2025 Ramadan lecture

The Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Epe branch, has called on Nigerians to prioritize unity, peaceful co-existence, and moral uprightness as pillars for national development.
Ekohotblog reports that this message was delivered during the 2025 Ramadan Lecture held at Lepia Event Centre, Agric, Epe. The Chief Imam of Ansar-ud-deen, Egbe Branch, Alhaji Abdulkadri Balogun Ajikobi, who delivered the sermon, emphasized the need for harmony among all citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.

The lecture attracted notable personalities, including traditional rulers, political figures, public servants, educators, and government officials.
Addressing attendees, the Chairman of the Ansar-ud-deen Society, Epe branch, Hon. Hafeez Shittu, emphasized that dignity and integrity are essential in shaping a brighter future.
He commended the society’s achievements in fostering interfaith dialogue, community advancement, and social equity.
“As people of faith, we must embody compassion, empathy, and kindness,” Shittu stated. “Our collective commitment to justice and peace will help us overcome the challenges facing our communities.”
In his sermon, Sheikh Abdul Quadri Balogun Ajikobi urged parents to instill good morals in their children, stressing that true societal change begins at home.
He identified fear of God, honesty, patience, generosity, humility, justice, forgiveness, and self-discipline as key virtues for building a prosperous society.

During a post-lecture interview, Alhaji Kujenya and other elders of the society encouraged unity among members of the Epe branch to enable the society to achieve greater accomplishments.
Also speaking, Oba Nureni Sikiru urged Nigerians to allow peace to prevail, noting that a peaceful environment is necessary for the government to effectively deliver on its mandates and improve the lives of citizens.
