No fewer than 12 vessels have arrived at the Lekki, Tin Can Island and Apapa ports in Lagos carrying petroleum products, fertilisers and other cargoes for discharge,Eko Hot Blog reports.
According to the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, the ships are currently waiting to offload products including petrol, base oil, fuel oil, gasoline, crude oil and bulk urea.

The update was contained in the agency’s latest Shipping Position report made available in Lagos.
The NPA also disclosed that about 34 additional ships are expected at the ports between May 7 and May 15 with different consignments.
The incoming vessels are expected to deliver products such as bulk wheat, fresh fish, containers, bitumen, diesel, bulk sugar, general cargo and other imported goods.
The report further revealed that 26 other ships are already at various terminals discharging cargoes ranging from petrol and aviation fuel to crude oil, bulk gas, gypsum, wheat and fertiliser products.

The development highlights the steady flow of commercial and petroleum activities across Lagos ports, which remain major hubs for imports and maritime trade in Nigeria.
