An All Progressives Congress (APC) support group has urged security agencies to take immediate action following the targeted destruction of President Bola Tinubu’s billboards in parts of the Ondo State capital.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Director-General of the Ondo Mandate Group (OMG), Olumuyiwa Asagunla, characterized the vandalism in the Akure metropolis as a dangerous escalation of political intolerance.

“Political expression must never descend into vandalism,” Asagunla stated. He emphasized that destroying the President’s image is an attack on the millions of citizens who support the administration and urged local residents to report any suspicious activities to law enforcement to preserve public peace.
The group maintained that the acts of intimidation would not hinder its strategic operations. Asagunla revealed that the OMG has already established a presence in every ward across the state, specifically targeting women, youth, and elderly voters.
The goal, according to the group, is to exceed the electoral numbers recorded for the President during the 2023 polls.
The Director-General noted that the “mobilization machinery” is currently active in every hamlet and constituency.
He expressed confidence that Ondo State would deliver a unified and overwhelming vote for President Tinubu when the 2027 general elections arrive.
In addition to addressing the security concerns, Asagunla used the occasion of the Easter celebration to call for national reflection.
He urged Christians to emulate the virtues of humility, sacrifice, and selflessness, noting that the season should transcend mere festivities.
“Easter calls on all believers to reflect deeply on the life of Christ and His ultimate sacrifice for humanity,” he said.
He encouraged supporters to remain peaceful and focused on service to the community even in the face of political provocations.
