- The All Progressives Congress (APC) has established a remarkably narrow window for the purchase and submission of nomination forms, giving aspirants exactly nine days to acquire them and only two days after that to submit.
- Acquisition of forms begins April 25, 2026, and closes May 2, 2026. All completed documents must be returned to the party’s National Headquarters in Wuse II, Abuja, by May 4, 2026.
- The party has centralized the process, insisting that all forms for Presidential, Governorship, and National Assembly positions be collected and filed at the National Secretariat to ensure strict compliance with the new internal roadmap.
Beyond the steep financial requirements, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has introduced a high-pressure timeline for the acquisition of nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, confirmed on Monday that the party will not be extending the deadlines, urging all serious contenders to act with “extreme urgency.”

The timetable, signed by National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Argungu, creates a logistical challenge for aspirants across the 36 states.
With the sale of forms limited to just one week (April 25 – May 2), many aspirants are expected to move to the Federal Capital Territory early to ensure they meet the May 4 submission deadline.
This rigid window is designed to allow the party to begin the screening process for Presidential aspirants as early as May 9.
While the Wike-backed faction of the PDP has also adopted a timetable, they have yet to release their specific “acquisition window.”
However, party Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed hinted that the PDP’s schedule would follow a similarly tight path to remain in sync with INEC’s statutory requirements.
In contrast, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is using these strict deadlines as a reason to push for a consensus model.

Spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi noted that the rush to acquire and file forms often leads to administrative errors and internal friction, which the ADC hopes to avoid by selecting candidates through dialogue rather than a timed “race for forms.”
The urgency is driven by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which has mandated that all party primaries and the resolution of resulting disputes must be concluded between April 23 and May 30, 2026.
The APC’s two-week deadline for forms is a strategic move to ensure all paperwork is cleared before the first primary elections kick off on May 16.
