Gospel film actor and beloved star of the Abattoir series, Moses Korede Are, popularly known as Baba Gbenro, has been laid to rest in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

The solemn ceremony, attended by family, friends, and well-wishers dressed in white and blue, was captured in photos shared by Christian video podcast Zion Kulture on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. The images show mourners gathered around his final resting place, paying their last respects.
Baba Gbenro, the founder and International President of Calvary Movies Drama Ministry, passed away in November 2024. His death was met with an outpouring of grief from the Christian movie industry, with tributes flooding in from colleagues and fans.
A striking image from the burial shows his casket, adorned with gold trimmings and floral decorations, as loved ones bid him farewell.
Baba Gbenro was widely celebrated for his impactful gospel films, particularly his role in Abattoir, a Mount Zion production that resonated with Christian audiences across Nigeria.
His passing marks the end of an era for Christian drama in Nigeria, but his legacy lives on through his work and the lives he touched.
