EKO HOT BLOG reports that under the guidance of new manager Vincent Kompany, Bayern delivered a commanding performance from start to finish, overwhelming the Oceania champions with relentless pressure and clinical finishing.
Kingsley Coman set the tone early, heading home the opener in the 6th minute before grabbing his second in the 21st. Sacha Boey and Michael Olise joined the early scoring spree with goals in the 18th and 20th minutes respectively, while Olise added another deep into first-half stoppage time.
Veteran forward Thomas Müller, featuring in what could be his final Club World Cup appearance, also netted twice in the 45th and 89th minutes, helping Bayern take a commanding 6–0 lead into the break.
Michael Olise was the standout performer of the night, finishing with two goals and two assists in a dazzling display that kept the New Zealand side under constant pressure.
Returning from injury, Jamal Musiala entered in the second half and quickly made his presence felt with a clinical hat-trick, scoring in the 67th, 73rd (penalty), and 84th minutes.
Despite the onslaught, Auckland City’s goalkeeper Conor Tracey made several crucial stops to avoid an even higher scoreline, though it did little to ease the humiliation.

The result shattered the previous record for the biggest margin of victory at the Club World Cup, which was Al Hilal’s 6–1 win over Al Jazira in 2022. Bayern’s commanding performance now sends a strong signal to their rivals as they pursue the global title.
