According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), preliminary findings suggest the crash was caused by brake failure, which made the driver lose control of the vehicle.
The agency confirmed that about four occupants sustained serious injuries and were quickly evacuated to the Emergency Centre at Toll Gate for medical attention.

LASTMA officials were said to have responded swiftly to the scene, coordinating rescue efforts and ensuring normalcy was restored.
The damaged vehicle is being cleared from the road, while authorities noted that the incident did not disrupt traffic flow in the area.
