As Muslims in Epe marked the Eid Mubarak celebration, prominent community leader, Wale Mogaji, has called on residents to uphold peace and remain committed to the virtues demonstrated during the holy month of Ramadan.
Eko Hot Blog reports that speaking shortly after the Eid prayers, Otunba Mogaji emphasized the need for continued harmony, discipline, and mutual respect among residents, noting that the lessons of Ramadan should not end with the celebration.

“Ramadan has taught us patience, self-control, and love for one another. These are values we must continue to uphold in our daily lives for the progress of our community,” he said.
He urged youths and community members to shun all forms of violence and actions capable of disrupting the peace of Epe, stressing that development can only thrive in a peaceful environment.
“We must all be ambassadors of peace. Epe belongs to all of us, and it is our collective responsibility to protect and preserve the unity we have built over time,” he added.
Otunba Mogaji further encouraged residents to remain law-abiding and supportive of community development efforts, while also extending goodwill messages to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan.
“Eid is a time of joy and reflection. Let us celebrate responsibly and continue to show kindness, generosity, and respect to one another,” he stated.
Community members who spoke on the sidelines of the event commended his message, describing it as timely and necessary in sustaining the peaceful atmosphere currently enjoyed in Epe.
The call for unity and good conduct resonated strongly among residents, reinforcing the importance of maintaining the positive behavioral changes embraced during Ramadan for the overall growth and stability of the community.
