As Muslims celebrate the end of Ramadan, the lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency, Wale Raji, has urged the faithful to uphold the values of righteousness, compassion, and discipline cultivated during the holy month.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in his Eid message to constituents, Hon. Raji reflected on the spiritual significance of Ramadan, quoting from the Holy Qur’an to emphasize the essence of fasting and devotion.

“And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct from the black thread of night; then complete the fast until sunset,” he quoted from Qur’an 2:187.
He expressed gratitude to Allah for granting Muslims the strength to complete the fasting period and called for continuous adherence to the teachings of Islam beyond Ramadan.
“O Allah, as we reach the blessed conclusion of Ramadan, we bow in gratitude for Your mercy, guidance, and patience throughout this sacred month.
Purify our hearts, accept our fasts and prayers, forgive our sins, and renew our spirits,” he stated.
Hon. Raji further encouraged residents to allow the lessons of Ramadan to reflect in their daily conduct, promoting peace, unity, and mutual respect within the society.
“Let the lessons of Ramadan remain in our lives, shaping us to be kinder, more compassionate, and closer to Allah. This is how we can build a peaceful and progressive community,” he added.
He also prayed for continued peace, love, and harmony across Epe and the nation at large, describing Eid as a period of reflection, gratitude, and renewed hope.
“May this Eid be a celebration of faith, mercy, and hope. Let our homes be filled with peace, our families with love, and our communities with harmony,” he concluded.
The message resonated with many constituents, reinforcing the importance of sustaining spiritual growth and good conduct beyond the Ramadan season.
