Otunba T.J. Abass, an iconic leader and Eko Club International board member, founded the medical mission, a biannual humanitarian initiative.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support. Ebun Olanrewaju Williams, one of the residents, shared her appreciation: “It is really a good initiative for this community. I think it will go a long way because we have so many people with underlying illnesses, especially related to high blood pressure and sugar levels.

“Most people worry about paying for medical bills, so today, people could come out knowing they’re getting this for free,” she added, thanking the organizers.

Another beneficiary, a nursing mother, also shared her experience:
“I feel this initiative is very good. I complained about body pain and received free medication, including deworming medicine and blood tonics. My child, who has been suffering from a persistent cough, was given cough syrup and multivitamins for free. I really appreciate Eko Club International for their kind gesture.”

This year’s medical mission spans from November 1 to November 9, 2024, with a closing ceremony and awards night scheduled for November 10, 2024.
