Eko Hot Blog reports that the atmosphere was electrifying, filled with elegance and excitement, as the crème de la crème of society turned out in large numbers to honour a man widely celebrated for his contributions to community development and human capital growth.
The event served as the climax of a two-day impactful celebration, which had earlier witnessed the unveiling of the Mercury Industrial Hub in Lekki and the Alhaja Nofiat Adetoun Adeyemi Central Mosque in Epe.
Guests were treated to a rich blend of culture, music, and heartfelt tributes, reflecting the celebrant’s legacy of service and philanthropy. The hall resonated with goodwill messages as associates, friends, and well-wishers extolled the virtues of the celebrant, describing him as a man of humility, vision, and unwavering commitment to societal growth.
Speaking during the event, the celebrant reiterated the driving force behind the previous day’s projects, noting that they were deeply rooted in service to humanity and the desire to uplift others.
“The inspiration behind the mosque most especially is our mum. That’s what she really wanted and we worked it together before she was late. But unfortunately she wasn’t around to experience the unveiling.
That was the big inspiration behind the mosque because she kept on urging us everyday to always be together while she was still alive. Well, we give thanks to Almighty Allah and may her soul rest in peace.”
On the industrial hub, he emphasized its broader economic impact.
“Mercury industrial hub which was launched today is for the masses, to create employment. Thank God for our President who believes in the growth of the local economy. We tend to use the hub to produce furniture so that we can export them outside the country instead of importing.”
He further linked the initiative to national development goals under Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The moment President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came in and I saw his Renewed Hope Agenda that he has for the masses, I had to tap into the idea to create industrial hub for our people to create jobs, to ease the pains of the masses within the locality.”
Reflecting on his journey at 60, he offered a deeply humbling perspective on success.
“Success story at 60? I won’t say there’s any success story for now until we can elevate others while alleviating poverty, that’s when I can say I have a success story and by the grace of Almighty Allah, we will keep uplifting lives. You can’t measure your success story except when people around you testifies to your life-changing influence.”
The grand finale reached its peak when Wasiu Ayinde Marshall thrilled guests with a captivating live performance, delivering a vibrant display of Fuji music that kept attendees on their feet and brought the celebration to a memorable close.
The two-day event not only celebrated a milestone age but also reflected a legacy anchored on faith, empowerment, and community development, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended.
