Gunmen have reportedly attacked an Immigration Service office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, in what appears to be a late night raid targeting security operatives.
The incident was said to have occurred on Tuesday night at about 10 pm when the attackers stormed the facility and disarmed officers on duty, reportedly making away with their firearms.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a source in Ogbomoso confirmed the development to Daily Post, noting that the attack created tension in the area as residents became aware of the breach in security around the government facility.
As of the time of filing this report, the spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command had not issued an official statement on the incident.
In a related development, gunmen also attacked and killed two police officers along the Amansea, Ndiora, Ndiukwuenu, Awa and Ufuma Road in Anambra State.
The attack reportedly took place on Sunday night within Orumba South Local Government Area, where the officers were ambushed while returning from an assignment.
Eyewitnesses told Punch that the attackers had positioned themselves in a nearby bush and opened fire on the officers as their vehicle approached the area.
The sudden attack reportedly triggered panic among residents and commuters along the axis, with many fleeing for safety as gunshots echoed through surrounding communities.
A tricycle rider, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he narrowly escaped the scene after hearing gunshots while travelling through the area.
He said, “The incident happened last night. I was coming from a journey when I suddenly heard gunshots. I left my tricycle and went back for safety.
After the shooting subsided, I resumed my journey and got to the point where the shooting happened and discovered that two police officers had already been gunned down and were lying lifelessly on the road.”
Security agencies in both Oyo and Anambra States are yet to release detailed official statements on the attacks as investigations are expected to continue.

The incidents add to growing concerns over attacks targeting security personnel across parts of the country.
