Gunmen Attack Katsina LGA Chairman’s Residence, Kill Police Officer

- Gunmen attacked the residence of Maharazu Dayi, Chairman of Malumfashi LGA in Katsina, killing Police Corporal Shamsudeen Lawal.
- Three suspects were arrested in connection with the attack, and an investigation is ongoing.

Unknown gunmen attacked the residence of Maharazu Dayi, Chairman of Malumfashi Local Government Area in Katsina State, late Tuesday, killing a police officer.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the officer, identified as Police Corporal Shamsudeen Lawal, was shot during the assault and later confirmed dead at a nearby hospital where he was being treated.

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer DSP Abubakar Sadiq stated, “The officer was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead upon arrival.”
He also confirmed that three suspects had been arrested in connection with the attack, and investigations are ongoing.

An eyewitness, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Dayi and his family were inside the house during the attack.
