The atmosphere in the community was filled with celebration, drumming, cultural performances, and chants as supporters gathered to welcome Rep. Wale Raji back home and endorse the progressive leadership structure from the federal to the state level.
Speaking during the event, leaders of the community noted that the people of Ise remained grateful for the various developmental projects and empowerment initiatives brought to the area through the efforts of the political leaders.
The Chairman of Ward B1, Mr. Abolore, stated that the gathering was organised to reaffirm the community’s support for the All Progressives Congress leadership and to silence rumours suggesting division within the town.
According to him, the people of Ise remain committed to supporting leaders who have continued to deliver democratic dividends to the people.
“We are here today to openly affirm our support for Rep. Wale Raji, Hon. Tobun, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Kadri Hamzat, and Senator Tokunbo Abiru.
These are leaders who have continued to stand by the people and support development across our communities,” he said.
He further dismissed claims that the community had withdrawn support from Rep. Wale Raji, insisting that the lawmaker remains highly respected and loved by his people.
“No one should spread false rumours that Ise has rejected Wale Raji. He is our son, and we are proud of his representation and contributions to the development of Epe Federal Constituency,” he added.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of Ward B1, Mr. Bakare Muyideen Oluwaseun, described the large turnout and colourful reception as proof of the strong bond between the people and the political leaders they support.
According to him, the appearance of the special masquerade during the event symbolised honour, respect, and appreciation for leaders who have impacted the community positively.
“The grand reception today clearly shows that the people of Ise are united and solidly behind their leaders. The special masquerade that appeared today is highly respected in our culture and only comes out during important occasions,” he stated.
Community representatives from Wards B1, C1, and D1 also took turns to endorse the political leaders, pledging massive support during future political exercises.
They assured that the people of the community would continue to support leaders who prioritise infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, healthcare, and grassroots development.
Addressing supporters during the gathering, Wale Raji appreciated the people for their continued support and loyalty over the years.
He urged politicians and supporters to embrace peaceful politics and avoid bitterness or campaigns built on insults and falsehood.
“In politics, because you are contesting against someone does not mean you should say bad things about them. We should promote peace, unity, and development,” he said.
Rep. Raji also highlighted several projects facilitated across Epe Federal Constituency, including road construction, solar-powered projects, school interventions, market development, health facilities, and youth empowerment programmes.
He assured residents that more developmental projects were already in the pipeline and promised continued commitment to improving the welfare of the people.
The gathering ended with prayers, endorsements, traditional blessings, and renewed declarations of support for the APC leadership structure from the grassroots to the national level.
