Leaders, stakeholders, and residents of the Ito-Omu community have thrown their weight behind Wale Raji, endorsing him for another term during a well-attended engagement that spotlighted his achievements and future promises.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the gathering was led by Alhaja Sherifat, alongside Hon. Taawa, the Councillor representing Ward C1, and the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), who represented the lawmaker. Party leaders, stakeholders, and a large number of community members were present, creating an atmosphere of unity and shared purpose.

In her remarks, Alhaja Sherifat praised the representative’s impact, particularly in the area of education.
“We have seen what Wale Raji has done for our community, especially in the area of education with the establishment of a school.
Our people appreciate these efforts, but as always, we look forward to more development, and he has assured us that more is coming,” she said.
Hon. Taawa also reaffirmed the community’s confidence in the lawmaker’s leadership.
“This endorsement is a reflection of trust. The people believe in his leadership and his ability to do more in the coming term,” he stated.
The traditional ruler of Ito-Omu commended the lawmaker’s consistency and responsiveness.
“He has done well for us, and we believe he will continue to respond to our needs as he has always done,” the monarch said, while also outlining additional needs of the community.
Community members who attended the meeting also shared their views, expressing appreciation and cautious optimism. One resident noted,
“The school project has really helped our children. Before now, many had to travel far for education, but things are changing.”
Another community member added, “We are grateful for what has been done, but like every growing community, we still need more infrastructure and support. We are hopeful he will deliver.”
A youth representative also spoke, saying, “We want opportunities for young people, and from what we have seen so far, we believe he can do more if given another chance.”
The engagement concluded with a unanimous endorsement from party leaders, stakeholders, and residents, all expressing confidence that another term for Wale Raji would bring sustained growth and development to Ito-Omu.
