- Jandor Begins Early Moves for APC Governorship Primaries in Lagos
- Announces launch of campaign website
- Stressed that governance and development require collective effort
Former Lagos governorship candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has hinted at his intention to contest the 2027 Lagos State governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Eko Hot Blog reports that the indication emerged on Wednesday following the circulation of a campaign flyer shared by Jandor on social media, bearing the inscription: “Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) for Governor, Lagos State 2027.”

Further signalling his ambition, Jandor announced the launch of his campaign website via a Facebook post, describing it as part of his early preparation for the APC governorship primaries.
According to him, the website is designed to serve as a platform for engagement and policy discussions ahead of the 2027 election.
“This is not just a website; it is an open civic space,” Jandor wrote, adding that the platform would allow Lagos residents to interrogate his ideas, contribute to his vision, and help shape a policy agenda for a more prosperous state.
While acknowledging that other aspirants may emerge within the APC, Jandor said his focus remains on engaging party leaders, members, and the people of Lagos.

He stressed that governance and development require collective effort, urging residents to participate in discussions on his proposed roadmap for the state.
Jandor previously contested the 2023 Lagos governorship election as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with Nollywood actress Funke Akindele as his running mate. He finished third, behind candidates of the APC and the Labour Party.
In March, Jandor officially returned to the APC after resigning from the PDP, citing internal indiscipline and widespread anti-party activities within the opposition party.
His defection, however, attracted criticism from the PDP in Lagos, with the party’s Deputy Chairman, Tai Benedict, alleging that Jandor was planted by the APC to weaken the opposition.
