Kenneth Okonkwo Parts Ways With Peter Obi
Nollywood actor Kenneth Okonkwo has left the Labour Party, criticizing its presidential candidate Peter Obi for being too weak and indecisive to address national issues.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has publicly parted ways with Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election.
In a statement on his Instagram page on Sunday, Okonkwo criticized Peter Obi as being too weak and indecisive to tackle national issues. He expressed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are incapable of leading Nigeria to greatness and instead are contributing to the country’s downfall.

Okonkwo emphasized the need for a strong political party with a robust grassroots base and a decisive leader to challenge the dominance of PDP and APC.
He stated that the recent developments within the Labour Party have motivated him to seek a new direction in his political career, particularly as Peter Obi has failed to capitalize on the opportunity to build a party founded on integrity.
Okonkwo also stated that he was shocked when the former Governor of Anambra State publicly declared that he did not promise Nigerians to build a strong LP but to solve Nigeria’s problem, whereas a solid political base is needed to overthrow the opposition parties.
He also faulted Peter Obi’s failure to dissociate himself from the ongoing crisis and criminal activities of the LP National Working Committee (NWC) and his failure to support the effort of the Labour Union in fighting for the welfare of workers.
