Kosoko’s History is Fundamental to Origin, People of Epe – Honourable Wale Raji
The member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representative, Honourable Wale Raji, has heaped high praise on the royal family of king Kosoko.
Hon. Wale Raji said King Kosoko’s legacy is a very precious and revered one in the history of Lagos, particularly among the indigenous people of Epe.
He stated this on Sunday in Lagos at the King Kosoko’s annual Memorial, a lecture organized in hounor of the late monarch.
In an interview with Eko Hot Blog, Hon. Wale Raji said King Kosoko came to seek refuge in a land called Epe.
“It is something worth celebrating, I congratulate the organizers for a job well done,” he said.
When asked how he would personally describe King Kosoko, the lawmaker said, “from history, he’s been described as a very brave, courageous King.
“His reign in Lagos, Eko was prosperous. History has it that he was a very generous person. And his bravery was legendary.
“So, these are things that we’ve heard about him, and these are good things to learn about him. Those of us living today can learn one of two things from his history.
“History of generosity, history of bravery and history of good leadership,” he added.
