Community Outrage and Suspicion “The unfortunate incident of the missing umbilical cord is true,” stated DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, the police command’s spokesperson.
The incident has sparked outrage within the community, with the newborn’s grandfather, Mr. Rufus Sanya, voicing suspicions of foul play.
“I urge the police to do a thorough investigation and unravel the mystery behind this disappearance,” Sanya implored.
Mother’s Distress and Unanswered Questions Mrs. C.B Williams, the newborn’s mother and an English teacher, raised concerns after medical personnel failed to provide the placenta and cord.
“The attendant claimed she had thrown the placenta into a pit, but it could not be found, suggesting a dog might have eaten it,” Williams recounted.
