The Lagos State Government has appointed Dr. Saliu Olugbenga Oseni as the new Medical Director of General Hospital, Gbagada, in a move aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and sustaining quality medical services across public hospitals in the state.
Eko Hot Blog reports that management and staff of the hospital officially welcomed Dr. Oseni following the retirement of the immediate past Medical Director, Dr. Babafemi Olusegun, whose tenure was described as impactful and professionally driven.

Before his appointment, Dr. Oseni served at General Hospital, Isolo, where he earned recognition for his professionalism, leadership qualities, and commitment to efficient healthcare administration.
According to a statement released by the hospital management, the appointment forms part of the Lagos State Government’s broader efforts to improve healthcare services and maintain excellence across state-owned medical institutions.

The management expressed confidence in Dr. Oseni’s ability to consolidate on the achievements recorded under the previous administration while advancing the hospital’s vision of delivering accessible, efficient, and patient-centred healthcare services to residents.
“The new Medical Director is well-positioned to build on the achievements of his predecessor while advancing the hospital’s vision of delivering efficient, accessible and patient-centred healthcare services,” the statement noted.
Staff and stakeholders of the hospital also pledged their support and cooperation to the new Medical Director, assuring the public of the institution’s continued dedication to quality healthcare delivery under the new leadership.
