The Lekki Local Council Development Area, in partnership with OPEB Busy Brain Academy, has concluded a two-day agricultural training programme aimed at equipping youths and young entrepreneurs in Lekki with practical agribusiness skills.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the training focused on hands-on sessions in snail rearing, catfish farming, and turkey production, exposing participants to simple, cost-effective methods of starting and managing small-scale agro businesses.

Facilitators guided the trainees through practical steps designed to encourage self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), emphasized the importance of youth empowerment, noting that agriculture remains a viable sector capable of absorbing young people and reducing unemployment when properly harnessed.
He stated that “empowering youths with practical skills in agriculture is key to sustainable development and economic growth at the grassroots.”
At the end of the programme, participants were presented with certificates of participation, marking the successful completion of the training and reinforcing the council’s commitment to youth development and capacity building.
