EKO HOT BLOG reports that a man simply identified as Sunny Afuye has narrowly escaped an assassination attempt by some assailants who invaded his residence in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state.
Sources disclosed that some gunmen invaded the house where the man and his family had just moved around 1:00 am on Sunday, June 5, 2022, Independent reports.
The assailants vandalised the house while looking for him and the rooms were also ransacked.
It could not be ascertained if the gunmen carted away any valuable items from the house as the whereabouts of the man and that of his family is unknown.
One of the residents in the neighbourhood disclosed that the man had just relocated to Lagos from the northern part of the country.
He was said to have relocated as a result of the attack on his farm by bandits.
According to the source, “The man just relocated to this area. We learnt he moved in from the northern part of the country because bandits came to his farm.”
“He was said to have escaped from the bandits by the whiskers and fled to Ikorodu here in Lagos.”
“But we are all surprised that his residence was invaded by some gunmen in the night around 1:00am.”

“But we cannot say whether the invaders later ran into him in the street and abducted him because we didn’t see his body and nobody has sighted him or any of his family anywhere.”
