Joy Mojisola Raimi, a 24-year-old graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025. Representing Osun State, Raimi emerged winner at the pageant’s grand finale held on Friday night at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, the organiser of the Miss World Nigeria beauty pageant, announced Raimi’s victory on his 𝕏 handle on Saturday. Raimi outshone 36 other contestants from across the country to clinch the coveted crown.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Raimi will now represent Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World Pageant scheduled to take place in Hyderabad, India, from May 7 to 31, 2025.

In a statement, Senator Murray-Bruce praised Raimi’s journey and humanitarian passion. “Congratulations to Joy Mojisola Raimi, the 24-year-old representing Osun State, on being crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025! Raimi is passionate about humanitarian services and founded ‘The Love for Humanity’ project, dedicated to spreading love and restoring faith in humanity,” he wrote.

During the final round, Raimi competed against finalists representing Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia states. When asked about overcoming bullying, she shared her emotional story of growing up without a mother and enduring harassment from her caregiver. She recounted how she was often told she would never amount to anything, but emphasized that her achievements, including winning the crown, have proven her detractors wrong.

Raimi’s triumph marks a significant milestone in her life and sets her on the global stage as she prepares to compete against contestants from 140 countries.
