Real Madrid have once again emerged as the most valuable football club in the world, while Barcelona moved above Manchester United into second place in the latest Forbes 2026 rankings.
According to the rankings, Real Madrid were valued at $9.5 billion (£7.06 billion), recording a significant increase from last year’s valuation of £6.75 billion (£5.02 billion).
Barcelona followed in second place with a valuation of $7.5 billion (£5.57 billion), while Manchester United dropped to third despite generating strong revenue during the 2024/25 season.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that United reportedly earned $865 million (£643 million) in revenue, even after a disappointing campaign that saw the club finish 15th in the Premier League and lose the Europa League final.
Liverpool FC remained fourth on the list with a valuation of $6.2 billion (£4.61 billion) after winning the Premier League title.
Paris Saint-Germain climbed from seventh to fifth following their European success during the 2024/25 season.
FC Bayern Munich stayed sixth with a valuation of $5.7 billion (£4.24 billion), while Manchester City dropped from fifth to seventh at $5.5 billion (£4.09 billion).
Arsenal F.C. ranked eighth with a valuation of $5.4 billion (£4.01 billion), ahead of Chelsea F.C. in ninth and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. in 10th place.
Arsenal could rise further in future rankings after ending their 22-year wait for a Premier League title and reaching the UEFA Champions League final against PSG.
The Premier League dominated the top 30 rankings with 11 clubs, more than any other league globally.
Other English clubs listed included Aston Villa F.C. in 16th, Newcastle United F.C. in 19th, Everton F.C. in 25th, Fulham F.C. in 26th and Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. in 27th.
Despite occupying the top two positions, Spain’s La Liga had only one additional club in the top 30, with Atlético Madrid placed 11th.
Major League Soccer contributed seven clubs to the rankings, while Italy’s Serie A had four representatives.
The Bundesliga produced three clubs, while Ligue 1 and Portugal’s Primeira Liga each had one representative in the top 30.
Forbes stated that the average value of the top 30 clubs now stands at $2.9 billion (£2.15 billion), representing a 21 per cent increase from last year’s average of $2.4 billion (£1.78 billion).
