Lagos State APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, facilitated the presentation. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor and Governorship Candidate, Obafemi Hamzat, were also present at the event which held at the president’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
In his address, Tinubu congratulated the winners but made clear that the work of building a united party front for 2027 was only beginning.

He urged each candidate to engage opponents and dissatisfied members, stressing that every vote and every voter would be critical in the general election.
The president also reminded the candidates that their emergence represented a covenant with the people, an obligation to advocate for constituents and deliver meaningful legislative impact.

The event was conducted solemnly, with photographs taken alongside the President and the candidates.
Three figures were, however, absent from the gathering: Senator Idiat Adebule (Lagos West), Hon. Okunola Lanre (Lagos Mainland), and Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, who won the Agege House of Representatives ticket.
The Lagos APC’s three Senate candidates are all incumbents who were returned unopposed by affirmation during the party’s primaries. They are Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni (Lagos Central), Senator Idiat Adebule (Lagos West), and Senator Tokunbo Abiru (Lagos East).
