The Nigerian Air Force will temporarily close roads around Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos on Saturday for a 10 kilometre fitness walk aimed at promoting the health and wellness of its personnel.
Eko Hot Blog reports that, according to a statement issued on Friday by Squadron Leader Abigail Ologun, spokesperson for the NAF Headquarters Logistics Command in Lagos, the event is aimed at improving the health, well being, and operational readiness of its officers.

The exercise will begin at 6 in the morning and is expected to end by 8. During this period, some parts of the Airport Road and nearby routes will be closed to public traffic.
Specifically, the route from Murtala Mohammed Airport 2 to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport will be affected. Motorists are advised to use alternative roads and follow instructions from Air Force and security officers who will be present to manage the situation.

Normal traffic movement will resume immediately after the exercise. The Air Force has put measures in place to ensure that the event is carried out safely and without problems.
The Command has apologised for any inconvenience the road closure may cause and has asked the public for their understanding and cooperation.
