Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, on his 51st birthday, describing him as a symbol of peace, cultural pride, and national unity.
Eko Hot Blog reports that, in a statement released on Friday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor praised the monarch’s leadership and commitment to promoting traditional values.

He said the Ooni’s reign has brought positive change through youth empowerment, cultural revival, and peaceful dialogue.
“It gives me great joy to celebrate our royal father, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja the Second,” Adeleke said. “His life and leadership reflect vision, courage, and compassion, which are the qualities of a great leader,” he added.
The governor commended the Ooni’s efforts in supporting the growth of Ile Ife and his role in uniting different ethnic and religious groups in Nigeria. He also praised the Ooni’s work in projecting Yoruba culture around the world and promoting peace and development.

Adeleke further noted the Ooni’s role as Chairman of the Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers, where he has worked to strengthen relationships among royal leaders and support traditional institutions.
“As Kabiyesi marks this special age in good health and divine favour, I pray for more wisdom, long life, and renewed strength for him,” the governor said.
Oba Ogunwusi is the 51st traditional ruler of the ancient town of Ile Ife and took the throne in August 2015 after the passing of his predecessor, Oba Okunade Sijuwade.
